How did you plan to focus your goals and desires in 2020? At least that is what I was thinking when I did this at the beginning of the year. When I set out to do this exercise, I wanted to keep my desired, needs, goals and thoughts on track for 2020. I started with my “Word of the Year” which is “Purposeful” and branched out from there to pick my 20 things to do in 2020. I planned to do a check in to see where I was in the middle of the year. Well who would have thought we would be in the middle of a global pandemic crisis. This pandemic has touched everyone across the globe in some way from being sequestered at home, losing a job, can’t find toilet paper, or the worst - losing a loved one to this virus. Well, I’m still doing my mid-year check-in so see how all the things going on in my life and the world has impacted my 20 in 20 list. So how did I do so far? I have completed 6 things out of the 20. I started another 4 things but still have work to do to complete them. I have 4 things I just have not started and 6 things that I really can’t do based on the pandemic and stay at home orders to protect our lives. So what now? I’m going to take a good look at the items that I have not started that I can do and get a weekly plan to keep them going and on track. For the 6 things that I can’t do because of COVID-19, I will rethink and plan for something comparable that would still give me a similar outcome. You have to roll with what you got! YAY for me for completing 6 items at the mid-year review!!!! Always celebrate your victories!
